![]() The Imaging and Vision Laboratory (IVL) was created in early 2003 within the Department of Informatics, Systems and Communication (DISCo) of the University of Milano-Bicocca. The main research areas included Color Imaging, Image, Video Processing, Analysis and Classification; Visual Information Systems; Machine Learning; Image quality; HCI and Biometrics. In 2015 we have started two new research lines related on one side to Audio Processing, Analysis and Classification; Multimodal Signal Understanding; Intelligent Sensors and Internet of Things (IoT); on the other side we started investigating how Artificial Intelligence, in particular Machine and Deep Learning can be fruitfully applied in both the visual and signal domains. The IVL has a long record of successful research cooperations and agreements with multinational corporations. IVL won in 2015 the Innovation Award by University of Milano-Bicocca, and its members are listed among the most influential scientists in the area of Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing. IVL members teaching duties include Image Processing, Computer Graphics, Signal Processing, IoT, Foundations of Deep Learning, and Advanced Machine Learning. |
